Eng. Petronilla Ogut - Chief Executive Officer Lake Victoria South Water Service Board
Eng. Petronilla Ogut is currently the LVSWSB’s Chief Executive Officer. She is a graduate of the University of Nairobi with BSc (Science and Civil Engineering) and has MSc (Hydro informatics) from the International Institute for Infrastructural, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering Netherlands. She also holds MBA from Strathmore University, Diploma in Corporate Finance and management in Sorbonne University Paris France. She is a Registered Engineer with Engineers Registration Board of Kenya
Eng. Sammy Mburu - Chief Manager Technical Services
A registered civil engineer with the Engineers’ Registration Board (ERB) and Elected Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). He has undergone extensive professional training in: - Policy formulation and Institutional Development; Strategy Development and Implementation; Project formulation, Appraisal and Management; Water Demand Management; Water Quality and Pollution Control; Procurement Process; Utility Management; Environmental Management Planning and Implementation; Financial Management; and Strategic Change Management. With vast experience having been the Managing Director of a Water Service Provider; a Managing Director of a busy Engineering Consulting Firm in Botswana; a Senior Manager of various Programs in the water sector both with the Ministry of Local Government of the Government of Botswana and the Ministry of Water of the Kenya Government and also in the private sector. Eng. Mburu is the Chief Manager Technical Services in charge of Lake Victoria South Water Services Board Technical Department. He holds MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi.
Ms. Phyllis Chepkemboi - Manager Legal and Compliance
Phyllis Chepkemboi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an active member of the Law Society of Kenya. She also holds a masters degree in Business Administration with a bias for Human Resource Management. She is currently pursuing professional certification in company secretarial (CPS). At LVSWSB, she oversees Legal and Compliance issues. She previously worked in various law firms and Kenya Commercial Bank.
Mr. S. K. Kigen - Chief Manager Human Resources and Administration
Has a degree in Anthropology and Governance with a higher Diploma in Human resources and a vast experience in Human Resource Management. He is in charge of the Human Resource Issues at Lake Victoria South Water Services Board.
Mr. John Francis Adongo - Chief Manager Finance
John Francis Adongo has joined Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB) as Chief Manager Finance.
He was previously the senior accountant in the Homa Bay county government treasury, where he was responsible for bank reconciliation, cash flow analysis and financial strategy.
With a background in Information Technology, and extensive experience in public service management, the Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Option) graduate will be a great asset to the board. Mr. Adongo is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Public Secretary (CPS).
Mr. Renson M. Wanyonyi - Chief Manager Corporate Planning
Renson Makheti Wanyonyi join Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB) as the Chief Manager Corporate Planning. This is after he left Mount Kenya University (MKU) where he served as a Quality Assurance Coordinator and lecturer. He was also a former Deputy Director MKU Garissa Campus.
He has extensive experience and training in Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) where he served as Project/loans officer, branch manager, deputy Corporate Planning manager and regional manager.
With vast experience inpreparation and review of strategic plans, induction of Board Members, preparation and monitoring of performance contracts and carrying out feasibility studies and formulating business plans, LVSWSB has picked on a resourceful person who will assist the existing team in fulfilling the board’s mission. Mr. Makheti has BA in Economics (UON), MBA Strategic Management (UON/MKU) and is currently a PHD student in Business Administration, strategic management option in Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
Ms. Maureen Akinyi Odiwuor
Maureen Akinyi Odiwuor is the new Corporate Communications Officer at Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB). She has been a seasoned Journalist who has been churning out award winning News and feature stories with a specialization in health and environment reporting for The Standard Newspaper.
Ms. Odiwuor who has gained over six years’ experience in reliable communication to the public, has joined the bandwagon of able communication professionals and is expected to help in providing visibility for LVSWSB through the Corporate Planning department.
She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Media Technology with IT from Maseno University.
